About Me

My name is Patty and I live in Aguanga, CA. I'm retired and in my early 60's. I only travel part time, taking one or two long trips a year and try to take shorter trips every other month at least. The last few years with the two small dogs. My farthest and longest trip was to FL for about two months. Other years I took trips to OR, AZ, UT and NM, each between one and two months.

My 1st RV was a used 1996 Coachmen Catalina Sport 19 1/2 ft long Class C. It was a great little RV and I had lots of fun traveling in it for six years. My husband wanted to visit relatives in Ohio, so I suggested we go in the RV. He didn't think my RV was big enough, so we went RV shopping and found the perfect for us, used RV in Jan of 2014. We sold our 1996 RV to our friends, and it will be their 1st RV. I'm glad it went to a good home.

Our new to us RV is a 2006 Fourwinds Chateau Sport 28 ft long Class  C. T  We took the cross country trip in April of 2014 and was gone almost two months. My husband didn't really like RVing, at least not on such a long trip, so I will travel solo most of the time again. Of course I'll have the two "stroller dogs" and occasionally take friends or family that want to go.

I'm creating this blog for myself and others to:
  • Share my travels with friends and family.
  • A permenate trip journal of places I camped. visited, and routes taken for future referenc.
  • Maybe help someone else planning to travel in the same areas I did
  • AND to talk about RV with Stroller Dogs. Many RVers travel with dogs. Ours are both about 8 lbs. They arent able to walk as far or as safely as big dogs. One of my dogs has a "floating knee cap" problem and limps if she walks too far. I bought a dog stroller for her, but even the young dog enjoys going for a stroller ride. We also have dog bike baskets and various dog carriers, dog slings, to take my dogs to public places. Maybe some of this info will help other small dog owners.
